manufactured housing

Dear Expert,
I am going into my senior year at Bentley College in Waltham, Ma and I am doing a summer internship at a real estate appraisal company. I am working on a piece about manufactured housing and I was wondering what you view is on how the economy affect the MHIndustry. I know the industry has seen some major decline in sales after 1998's peak. Many people claim the decline occurred because of the oversupply going into 2000 due to lenient financing. Aside from that fact, do you think that the MHIndustry does better when the economy is slow (as it is now) and why. Also, I receive "The Journal" and "Allen Letter" but I was wondering if you know any good websites that give a lot of information into the manufacturing housing industry. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Isabel
