how do they do the concret rails., are they put on a 6 inch slap. Buying a 28by 80 pouring a 6 inch slab with drain tile around slab and home set on concret blocks . which would be the most stronger way to set a home of that size on. Also 2by 6 16oc center floor joist will that be plenty of strength for this size double wide. Thanks

Although we try to give you accurate information, the only way to know what is best for your home, is to read the installation manual that is supplied with the home. It will give you the required load bearing capacities of the footings, the piers, and each and every item you need to facilitate the set up, including the appropriate spacing and locations for piering.

i need your help and advise in this matter. my house is settleing and i need under pinning per the engineering co. my problem is the cost facter. insurance co. states they will not pay for settlement issuess not related to sink-hole sitituations, but still requier me to repair this or they will drop my coverage. and i guess you are aware that no other ins co will pick me up. and may cause me to lose my home. i work with the sandford fire dept as a firefighter/paramedic. there are alot of men i work with that could assisit with the project. i dont want to lose my home so please help me. i will be receiveing a report from geo tech co and universal engineering and sciences. they will be recommending under pinning.

If you have a settlement issue, I think the definition of underpinning is in question. When underpinning is used with a manufactured home, it is the same thing as skirting. It is the perimeter facia, used to hide the crawl space area. Underpinning, when referrring to settlement, I believe will address the issues related to improper footings and foundation support systems.
