We are looking at a 1986 Tiffany mobile home and would like to know what kind of waterline was originally in this home

Look under the sinks or the toilet feed linesd coming from the floor or wall.If its a gray color hose with the same color connections then it PB and PB fittings.Just about everybody was using this stuff then.
