My wife and I currently own a doublewide mobilehome in San Diego. Having reached the end of the line of extensions and legal maneuverings, our park will be closing late this year. We have already made plans to move to NC about that time, so we need some advice on selling. We still owe about $24K on it.
I know we'll take a loss on it somehow, we're just trying to mitigate that loss and have at least an idea of our options. As we'll be buying a home when we move, we can't just leave the mortage holder with an empty trailer and declare a BK (a popular solution making the rounds here).
A. Is there any company or concern that will purchase a used mobilehome and move it?
B. If not, is there any that would buy it if we incurred the cost of moving? And if so there any idea of what that cost may be (ballpark).
We'd really appreciate any ideas.
What do we do now??
Re: What do we do now??
Contact a couple of local dealers, that regularly offer pre-owned homes. Dealers are always looking for a bargain. Try the local trading post type newspapers, many bargain hunters check these out regularly.

The frame is part of the structural design..You cannot remove the frame from a HUD certified home...
Some modulars homes are built without the frame..
