Removing steel frames

Can the steel frames on a MH be removed? The home I am considering Has 2X8 floor joist.
I do understand that this would have to be done after the home is set, and the proper beam size and placement would have to be followed under local codes.
As for why I would want to do such a thing, because it my home and I want to.
Has anyone done this or know of the being done.

If thats what you want to do why not get a panalized home of modular? The steel frame on a MH is part of the structure and although it could probably be removed I would think the cost would be prohibitive and if you have a loan on it your lender would have a real problem with it.
