Lot Purchase
Lot Purchase
Are there parks available where I can buy the land underneath my home or must I always rent?
Re: Lot Purchase
Parks, are generally land lease communities. They are generally regulated by local ordinances governing these type of properties. These ordinances, are different then a subdivison ordinance, which must be met in order to sell the lots.
So there are subdivisions, where you could purchase the lot, but these properties would be different then a "park".

Re: Lot Purchase
There are some cooperative parks set up like condo associations, at least here in Oregon. But generally there are three choices:
* live in a park, and rent the land
* buy the land and home together in a subdivision setup (in more urban areas)
* buy a piece of land, improved or not, and place a MH on it.
