Greetings to all,
My fiancee and I are in the final stages of purchasing a home. It is between a Southern Energy and a Redman Newmoon. The Southern Energy is a repo. And the New Moon is a new 2002 model. Does anyone have any advice on which one is a better purchase. The repo is $2,000 cheaper. But my main concern is not the price of the home it is the quality of the home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely in Christ,

Southern Energy builds three brands.....Each has different building spec..
Southern
Southern Lifestyle
and Southern Energy...
They are all called Southern Energy..The easiest way to tell the difference is the cieling height at the side wall...Those with a 7 foot wall are Southern, 7 1/2 foot wall is a Lifestyle and the full 8 foot side walls are Southern Energy..
The Southern Energy proper might well be a better home...Lifestyle would be considered about the same as the New Moon...And the Southern would be the bottom of the line...not quite as nice as the New Moon...
Remember...used home have NO warranty..you decide..

Warranty should be a major concern. Can you be certain that there is no damage to the repo that is not obvious to the eye? Flooring damage, etc? My experience has been that if you are not highly qualified to conduct a thorough inspection of any possible damages, repo homes are likely not the market for you. Afterall, you don't want your home purchase to be a negative one!

Do you have a floorplan & photos of a 1992 Southern Energy Lifestyle mobile home?
