I need to replace the ceiling fan in my living room. Could someone give me instruction on how to do it, please?
Thanks,

Replacing Ceiling Fan
Re: Replacing Ceiling Fan
I will try. First, make sure the power is shut off to the old fan. Then, look for ways to get the collar that covers the attachment to drop down (to expose the screws etc. that hold the fan on. You will have at least three wires to connect on the new one. Once you figure out how the old one comes off, disconnect it electrically, then physically remove it. Follow the instructions that come with the new one, to attach it to the ceiling. Then connect the wiring - match the colors same as the old one. Sometimes there is an extra wire for lighting, so make a note about how it is wired before you remove the old one.
