Manufactured Home Pricing

My Questions would be:
Can someone like myself, having a piece of land and wanting to place a Manufactured Home on it, can actually buy a Manufactured Home directly from a Manufactured Home Builder? If so, What Manufacturer in you opinion builds the best Manufactured Home for the Price? Would I be saving any money going directly to the Builder? Can I specifically request what I want as far as having it built to fit my needs? Would it be less expensive if I prepared the land, Installed the permanent foundation, etc....if I hired someone to do it? Or would it be safer to have this included in the Purchase price of the Manufactured Home if I decide to go this way........... THANKS,
Raul

1.You would have to go thru a dealer.
2.Plants vary in different parts of the country.
3.Again you would not be able to deal directly with a plant.
4.You can specify options if the plant offers the option for the home you desire, you cannot have a custom house built.
5.You can prepare the land yourself if you feel your subs would be cheaper or better. The foundation would be mandated by the house you choose. You would have to wait until you finalized your home choice to prepare it.
