What is the general consensus on OSB flooring? I am seeing it in a lot of homes
lately, (both site built and manufactured.)

My wife was very concerned about how OSB would react when steam cleaning
carpets, or in the bath area.

Anyone know what is what with OSB?

As long if it is 3/4 inch(or usually 23/32) when used for sub floors, you should have no problems with it.It does *not* have the same problems with moisture that particleboard, ,novadecking, etc has.

OSB and plywood go thru the same testing procedures. Plywood is allowed to have "voids", knots etc. OSB is not. Oriented Strand Board is the correct name of the product for your research.
