We've lived in our new home for 2 months now and we love it. I do have a question though. The temperatures have been dipping into the single digits during the night here. When the sun comes out in the day there is a cracking and popping noise that comes from my vinyl siding. You can hear it plainly in the house and it's rather annoying. Is this normal, or was my siding not put on tight enough? Thanks for your reply.

If anything it might be too tight...The siding must be installed loose to accomodate the expansion and contraction of the material....Your siding is probably fine and movement is normal...
