I would like to find out which manufactured homes are the best as far as construction and why.

Yes, I have the same question, I have looked at Palm Harbor and would like to know how they rate nationally as far as structural integrity and quality workmanship? Thanks.

Understand that Palm Harbor....as ALL large national companies are concerned have different construction specs in every plant...
This is why you can get NO construction detail on the national web site...They build some of the best...and some a lot less well built..
But if you think it will help..There is a Comparison Guide available for sale on this web sites bookstore..

Have a Homes of Merit; very well satisfied with construction and setup (on a 1ft. thick clay pad. 2x6 exterior walls, sheetrock with knockdown finish (got to choose own paint colors) Ordered prepped plywood floors in liv. area and master bedroom., good job......put down our own ceramic and Mexican saltillo tile. Very good inspection after house was set up. Everything on arrival was exactly as we had ordered it , NO MISTAKES WHATSOEVER. Follow-up was great, had a five-year warranty (expires this April). Had looked at Palm Harbor, price too high. Heard Palm Harbor and Homes of Merit merged.......(?).

No way...they are fierce competitors in FL..
