Ceiling fan “T” brace, old construction

Hi all,
I need advice about what to use for adding a ceiling fan. The ceiling is 24” on center with about 5” of insulation sitting on it. The trusses are made of 2x2 and 2x3. Where the light is now, there’s a 1/2” piece of plywood about 8x8” and a 4” hole in it for access it seems to be secured there with some foam, and it has a piece of 2x3 attached to cover half the hole giving the 4” round (1/2” deep)electric box something to screw to.
It doesn’t seem that I can use a t bracket because the part of the truss that the ceiling is attached to is 2x2”. It looks like the teeth on a saf-t bracket is higher than 1 1/2”.
Any ideas what I can do? Besides cutting the drywall ceiling from truss to truss? The one I did in another room was next to a truss, I attached a 2x4 between the bottom and top parts of the truss to have something to attach the round electric box to.
