Inaccessible ceiling ducting 2006 Clayton

Post by Suzyieq » Mon Sep 19, 2022 4:14 pm

I recently bought a manufactured home. AC isn't working. Repair estimate almost 5k. We have ceiling vents with hzero access. We can easily fix sub ducts, vut how to we get to ceiling vents, and are they going to be flexible or ridged?

Your are probably going to have to pull down all ceiling dry wall to get access.

And yes, I think most mobile homes use flexible ducts so you'll probably have to replace those.

It's not as bad as it sounds. It all depends on finding some nice young guys that have verifiable construction experience

Put an ad on Craig's list and ask to see some of their previous work and talk to those home owners.

Sometimes it's good to find some experienced guys willing to do it as a side job as this can save you a lot of money, and maybe you buy the materials which saves even mo money!
