serial number

saw your article on serial no. how many no. are in the serial no? i found a paper in the trailer said model no. and serial no. but when i tryed to get title, they said that was not the no!!! is it located any where else we have put siding over the front and will have to take it all down to try to find that no. it is a double wide. where is it located?
