How do I go about finding a plumber that will work on mobile homes? Am I going to have the same difficulty finding a contractor to repair a water-damaged room (ceiling, wall, and floor)?
A lot of stuff I can do myself, but most plumbing and some of the construction stuff--such as the ceiling--is out of my realm of ability, plus I have to do it alone.
At least I've got an electrician who will work on it--when I can get him to show up!

I am trying to find out what brand stem is used in shower handles of Solitaire's. I called my local dealer and they tell me the faucets that r used are Moen, but I cannot find a store that carries Moen stems, so I called Moen and they had me send them a picture of the stem and they said it's not a Moen. I have bought random stems to no avail. Please help my home is a 2007.

Factory's use different suppliers over the years. It is best to take the stem to a plumbing supply house to find a replacement. It is often not much more expensive to replace the entire facet head unless it is of a particularly high quality. Check

I have replaced the water lines with pex tubing throughout the mobil home, can I also use pex for the supply line from the valve under the home and if so can I put heat tape on the pex?

Pex pipe is not suitable for use outside. It is strictly designed for indoor and underground use as water piping. It's resistant to freezing temperatures but will not resist a direct and hard freeze. It's also not good for Pex to be exposed to direct sunlight outside for long periods as it will break down the material's strength and lead to full failure. (Pex Pipe Problems)
