I bought two single mobile homes, my boyfriend moved in to live with me, after 4 years we broke up, I just found out that he'd stolen the titles. How can i get my mobile homes back if I never registered those titles under my name? Though I have a notarized letter that shows the date, before living together, when I bought the mobile home from a person who gave me the title which she never registered under her name neither. That is my only proof that I have that shows I am the owner, but both of my mobile homes are grounded in his land and he is living in one and leasing the other one...any help?

Sounds like you need legal assistance. A manufactured home title registers ownership with the state. If you failed to put those titles in your name when you purchased the homes, and now can not locate the title you have no legal proof of ownership.

While it may raise the cost of moving into a home we strongly encourage anyone buying a manufactured home to pay close attention to perfecting the title work. DO NOT PAY FOR ANY MANUFACTURED HOME THAT HAS NOT BEEN RE-TITLED IN YOUR NAME.
