scared, roof fell in

Post by sonbea » Sat Apr 17, 2010 6:02 am

JUst purchased a new 2008 Karsen manufactored home with pitched roof. Been set up for two weeks. Moved in yesterday during a downpour (3-4 inches) and last night at midnight the ceiling fell in one of the bedrooms...dumped tons of water and wet insulation all over floor and wall. What damages will warrenty cover (carpet? walls? roof? ceiling?) Not daylight yet so can't reach dealer. What are the chances more of the ceiling will go in other rooms?

You say you purchased a new 2008 home. It is now 2010. There are a bunch of homes that have been aging in place at retail centers across the country. If you are the first registered owner of this home since it left the factory then the full warranty should apply and I would think that all the damage would be covered.

that is correct you if are not having luck with the dealership by all means call the maker/factory. i had problems and the dealer did not listen and the factory fixed all of them, Of course mind weren't as bad as yours.
