How can I find my serial numbers using the hud numbers? I found the label, but I had a leak under the sink and most of the sheet pealed off. It was really a stupid place to put paperwork. I can't find the information anywhere else. I went through our folder containing all of our paperwork three times. It's not listed anywhere! We're trying to refinance our home to start a business, but they can't do it without this information. It's taken them 6 weeks to give a list of items that they need. Our home appraised for almost $100,000 in 2002, now it's only going for $80,000. IF we find another mortgage company and appraiser, would it be possible to come up with different numbers? Your serial number WILL be on your original title (which will be with the lender) or at least on the original mortgage finance documents..Most often the lender will have that on file...Of course by now you have tried to find it on the front cross member of the frame. You are right switching lenders now might well be counter productive. Your home has faired reasonably well in this current housing situation.. To have ONLY lost 20% in the last 2 years is only about 1/2 of the national loss in value that has plagued the whole housing industry. Good luck with the process.
