1990 Redman Washing Machine Hook up

Post by chris1361 » Mon Mar 17, 2008 8:19 am

I have a 1990 24x52 Redman and would like to know where in the home I can find out what electrical it has. I want to buy a 3.6 front load washing machine and need to know if my home can accomodate the electricity needed. Thanks

If you home has existing washer/dryer outlets the power should be sufficient.

The washer outlets are standard 110 household current. Ask the folks your purchasing from if you need anything different. I doubt you will. Please return here and share what you find out.

When you get a new Dryer... You may need a different "pig tail" then comes standard. Make a simple sketch showing the alignment of the holes in your dryer plug and take it to the store where you make the purchase. All dryers come with a removable plug wire (pig tail). All appliance retailers carry the alternative type that you will most likely need

I was buying the Whirlpool 3.6 front load washer. The specs needed are as follows.
Electrical requirements 120vac
60hz
15 or 20 amps grounded circuit is required. Time delay
fuse or circuit breaker and seperate circuit is
recommended.
Now I need to know is this costly to have done? thanks
