Zone I versus zone 11

Post by Pat Janosky » Mon Apr 30, 2007 1:58 pm

I have a zone 1 home that was sold to me as a zone II in Texas. I want to retrofit the home as much as possible to a zone II. Where can I find the best data on what the difference is between the two zones and what can be done. I also need a contractor to give me a bid on doing the work. I live near Corpus Christi Texas. Thank you so much. ps. I have the manual from the Texas mobile home site but it is difficult to read.

I assume this home was bought on site and not moved to the site for you...Most likely the home has weathewed a number of violent storms...Most of the difference is in the anchor system..Most homes available in zone 2 that are built
much the same as zone 1's except the anchor requirement...

I found a good web site to hwlp you with info..It is based in Florida the land of storm experience...here are 2 that might help...These are 2 differt pages in a large web site..

Be ready and have no fear...Good Luck
