mobile homes

Post by Paul007 » Thu Dec 09, 2004 9:12 am

Im trying to by a double wide in NC. The house was pulled from the dealers lot to my property in July 1999. I have never made a payment or signed any paper work to make the deal final. The dealer is some kind of crooked dealer in our area as he has had his dealers licence taken away from him before. I have tried to close this deal with him three times going through three different dealer friends of his and have still had no joy. Im living in the house and have been since the day they set it up. Its been over a year since I heard from anyone about it and Im wondering if there is anything that you know of that I can do?? The house sits on my property and the taxes are still owed from day one. I didnt want to pay the taxes if it wasnt mine but now they are threatening to forclose on it. Should I pay the taxes or would I just be paying someone elses taxes?? People keep telling me that after the house has been sitting on my property for that length of time that I can apply for some kind of abbandoned title?? Is this true?? Any help or Info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul.

I thought I'd take a chance with you to see if you would take the time to help me with this question? I have a friend who bought a mobil home on a lot that has about 5 others. The mobil owners there have been told by the land owner they are going to recieve a notice to move, that they will have to make arrangements themselves as to what they will do with them, yet, they also say if they can't move them because they may not meet compliance for this move So, they will have to tear them down themselves at their cost!

These homes look fine and I use to manage a mobil home park in Ca, and there the land owners would have to compensate these home owners to move. I don't know what rules govern Nebraska regarding these people and their mobil homes and without any compensation at all.

Word is the land owner is going to build rental storage buildings there and is saying the notice to get these people out is because City Hall of Weepingwater has said.....(that all mobil homes and trailors of this town have to be out) Sounds like these home owners need to have a meeting with city hall and the land owner!
I love all these people that live there and hate to see them lose the money they put into it so they could have a place "To call home"
I would appreciate if you know of a resource that could be used to help these people get some money from this that would help them in having to relocate and pay to tear them down....it is a shame to do an eviction , putting these families on the spot.
Thank you for taking the time to read, I look forward to any help you could legally send forward. Here is my address if you would rather not send by e-mail. Rosemary, 420 Maple ....Nehawka, Ne....68413. Thank You!

with love, Rose

I am sorry, just noticed that this was meant for reply or your question?
