wanting some info on using runners or blocks. Which is better.

I want to replace my kitchen cabinets for my mobile home for a reasonable price. I saw some cabinet at home depot will they work. I also want to replace my bath tub with a jet tub. Is there anything special I need to do. Home depot have them starting at $400 compared to what I see here. One other thing. I also want to replace my front door and the screen. The door I want is half glass. Can I buy a regular door and screen door from home depot, and will it work.

Home Depot has good design consultants at no cost...They will give you good estimate and advice about all sorts of home projects....

If you carefully measure your kitchen floor plan and cabinet needs they should be able to quote material and labor to replace...Hanging cabinets is an art and should be left to the pros...

Whirlpool tubs come in all kinds of style and sizes...The price you are quoting sounds like this is only the pump, hose and fittings..Installation is possible in many types of tubs...but most manufactured homes would need a tub upgrade to work..remember this is a tough job..Folks often forget the electrical work that has to be done....Our dealership pays about $900 to retro fit a stock home..This is for good equipment, all plumbing, installation including electrical....Our plants will install the same equipment for about $695 when building the home..

The door could be a completely different problem...Often doors in manufactured homes are smaller then those in Home Depot..If so installation can be a very major project...Measure your door opening carefully and see if theirs will fit...If so you should have little problems...

Most tubs you see at home depot are 60" in length. Most manufactured housing tubs are 54" in length. Home builders measure the size of the door panel. If it is 36", the door is called a 3/0 signifying 3 feet. This DOES NOT include the jambs on the side of the door. In manufactured housing, we measure including the jambs, because they are a part of the overall door unit, both prime door and storm door are attached and included with the sale. The standard size currently being a 34 x 76, indicating the "rough opening". This is the distance between the 2x4 studs, in which the door unit sits. Make sure you know what you are buying. Your absolute best bet is to go to a manufactured home supplier, who will be knowledgeable in both measurements and the standard equipment in your home.
