Wind Zone rating

Post by Paul B. Searles » Tue Mar 14, 2006 11:48 am

Greetings Folk;

I bought a new 14' x 84' Redman in 1996, in Pasquotank County, NC (north eastern NC). I assume the wind zone rating on it is II. The mobile home (mfd home :-) was set up by the dealer in Perquimans County (immediately adjacent to Pasquotank Co.) -- it is also a "Wind zone II" county. Am I safe in making the assumption that this Redman is built to wind zone II seeing as the dealer sold it & set it up in a wind zone II county?

Also, does anyone know when the Wind zone laws were ratified or effective?

Thanks for your help. -Paul-

The data plate inside the home is going to give you this information. Check for it on the back of a kitchen cabinet door or on the wall in a closet.
