I have a double wide and its abot 20 yrs old. At the very end of house it is seperating and were are the bolts to bring the two halfs back together? do I locate them from inside of moble our they obtain from out side I would like to know before I tear apart the wrong cover. our do I adjust the jack standson one side. The speration is from the top working its way down about 4 feet and the gap is 1 inch wide. Last year we had a flood with water 7 inches high for 24 hrs. The jack stands are on cement pads also. Sounds like you need professional help...Call a dealer in the area for a referral to a good repair crew...Both specialized tools and specialized knowledge is required to do this job right....Good Luck

There may very well not be any bolts. Most of the older homes, and many of the newer homes, are connected at the ridge line with lag screws. If there is separation, it may be that the screws were in fact to short in the first place to span the distance between the two halves. The lags were "toenailed" from one side to the other, thus shortening their useful length. You may be able to open the ridge, jack opposing sides, and lag the ridge line with longer screws, to make the repair. The studs in the end walls should also be screwed one to the other at the end wall marriage. These are easily viewed by opening the siding at the end of the home.
