Re: levelingmobilehomes16+80
You should NOT try to level your home by yourself. The operations involved in jacking and raising the home can be very dangerous and should be attempted only by experienced individuals.
the Releveling Kit from Aberdeen Repair will show you step-by-step how to do the leveling process . The Kit includes complete step-by-step instructions and a waterline level. Use these instructions and the enclosed waterline level to determine whether or not your home is out of level. You will also use this information to become a better-informed consumer and give yourself the upper hand when it comes to hiring a contractor to do the job.
The detailed instructions will show you how to do the following: learn the causes of why your home becomes unlevel learn how to set-up, calibrate and read a waterline level determine where your home is unlevel and by how much learn what to watch-out for before, during and after releveling your home learn proper jack placement learn how your contractor should safely jack-up your home

Re: levelingmobilehomes16+80
When Hurricane Rita hit the winds moved my mobile home. It is not sitting on some of the blocks. I need to have it releveled. It is 12 by 65 foot, give or take 3 - 4 foot. It is a old home and one end sits on the ground and the other end is almost 4 foot off the ground. You can go under at least 1/2 of it pretty easy. I am trying to get an idea of the cost to turn into the insurance company. They say they will pay for it but don't want to pay what I think it will cost. I will have to hire someone to level it.
Can you help me with a bottom line cost to a top cost?
I am not good at taking care of these things and don't have any help.
Thanking you in advance.

The first portion of the expense will be whether or not your home is skirted. If it is, the skirting will have to be removed and then re-installed. Depending on the type of skirting, the cost will differ. I would think that 300-400 would take care of the actual releveling in your area, but that would not include the skirting, or any porches etc that had to be removed and reinstalled. I would think estimates will be your best bet for accurate figures. Check with a local dealer for referalls to local service folks who do this type of thing.
Re: levelingmobilehomes16+80
I would also suggest you look at the cost of properly anchoring the home.
Re: levelingmobilehomes16+80
Might also inspect the plumbing closely..often when a home shifts some breaks loose or needs attention...

Hi,
I am wondering if you have any advice for leveling a triple wide we cannot find anyone that will do it for us here,we live in a very small town. We bought the kit with the book and we mesured with a Zercon water level and it has told us that our whole middle section is one and a half inches lower than the front and the back sections of our home. Just recently we have noticed our roofline is un-even because of this and so is the floor, the ceiling is gettting alot more stress cracks recently as well. Any help would be great

I don't think I would tackle a triplewide yourself. You could make the problems worse. But if you do tackle it, get plenty of jacks and lift-up the mid section of the home eveningly. Put 2 jacks on each beam about 10' apart. That would mean using 12 jacks.
Is your home setting on blocks? If so, add a lot more blocks to the mid section. That's the heaviest section of the home and always sinks first.

You gotta see my repair manual!

Our home is sitting on Jack stands or metal piers, sitting on concrete runners. There are 50 of them down there spread evenly, the ones that are at the seams are loose they arent holding anything. We have tape and textured walls is it going to damage it really bad if we move it back to were it was? Or is that hard to say? Thank you so much for your time!
