I have been told Guerdon is the top of the line, nothing can compare, is it as great as all that or just salesman talk, Also is Kit just as good? And what about Champion? I am a little leary of them. Any one can tell me best to worst will help my home search out alot, so I can stop wasting my time on anything not worth spending good money on.

"How To Buy A Manufactured-Mobile Home And Save Thousands Of Dollars" is another good place to start and it is available in our book store in both hardbound and e-book editions The author recently combined both of his best selling books, " How To Buy A Manufactured Home And Save Thousands" with his, "Manufactured Home Comparison Guide" into one book. It seemed many readers where interested in both subjects. Now consumers can learn how to save thousands when purchasing a manufactured home along with Randy Eaton's comparison guide, which rates over 50 of the most popular builders in the United States.

Dear Concerned Buyer:
I thought I would respond in that I've been in the industry for numerous years. It sounds like you are in the Northwest somewhere judging by the regional builders you mentioned. I've sold Kit, Champion, Guerdon, Nashua, Fuqua, and many others over the past ten years. Personally, i would absolutely lean towards Fuqua homes out of Bend, Oregon. Guerdon used to make a good middle of the road home, then was bought out by American Homestar. Then the home quality went way down. Though a short time ago, Lad Dawson the original owner purchased the plant back fromj American Homestar, and I've heard it is improving some. But, In my opinion, Fuqua is certainlt the best available west of the Mississippi. I also very much like Valley Homes out of Yakima, Washinton. I don't think you could go wrong with either of those two choices. Stay away from Champion, Fleetwood, and Oakwood brands.

Good Luck,
K. Murawski
