I want to retire in eastern Washington state. My plan is to buy a new MH and site it in a manufactured housing community in which owners BUY - not only lease - their lot (~1/4 to 1/3 acre or so). Are there such places, or must one find some private acreage "out in the country" and sink a well and fire up the generator? I haven't been able to independently locate information about MH community properties for sale to owners. It seems to make no sense to buy the MH until I know what my options are on siting it.
I'd be grateful for any info you have, or suggestions for further research -
Thanks!
Phil
MH communities - I buy the lot
Re: MH communities - I buy the lot
Have you spoken to any dealers in the area you want to live because they would have the information. I have seen MH communities that are just like any other community except all of the homes are MH and all of the owners own the real estate but I am not familier with Washington. I cannot understand why this concept is not everywhere because it would be great for everyone concerned espically the developer and the homeowners.
