Advice on a better bathroom

Post by megan » Thu Aug 11, 2005 9:45 pm

I need some advice on remodeling the master bath of my 1996 double wide. I am a tall woman - I would like to have a deeper bathtub so my head dosen't touch the roof and i can actually be under the showerhead instead of facing it. Since the home is basicly in it's permanent location - would installing a regular metal type bathtub be feasable? Any what about actual tile floor and maybe a wainscoat? I suppose I would have to put extra supports under the bathroom to account for the extra weight. Anybody out there with any info or stories would be greatly appreciated!

As to being under the showerhead, you can buy a replacement shower arm that is longer, in an S-shape, which serves to raise and extend the showerhead itself.
