We need to move our manufactured home (double wide) from Silicon Valley, CA to Yelm, WA. My husband wants to move it to his Mom's property, so she can have a nice home. It needs to be moved by 7-15-05. Does anyone know? I would like to hear from you. I don't even know where to start looking for the answers, so I'm starting here.

Much Thanks,
Nora

It would cost about $8,000 -$10,000 for the actual trucking, and then you would have to pay a setup crew to prep the home for transport which would cost another $2500-$3500. Of course then you have the setup on the other end to pay for as well. If the home has any rot or is an older home it could be problematic to transport and a heavy liability. Also, at this late date, I can't see you being able to schedule it without paying a hefty premium.

If the home was newer and in great condition, it's possible that it could be arranged to have one of the transporters that bring down our Fuqua homes from Oregon to take it back up after they deliver for us, they are dead heading anyway and why not make some money driving back. That's assuming you could get a setup crew to prep it properly. Properly is the key word there.
