about the used home we are buying. I have the number off the HUD plate on the side of it, it's 2 years old, but that's all we know, don't know manufacturer or model number, is there a place I can search with the HUD number to find out the info--I searched on one Texas site but it didn't come up with anything.

Probably the tax collector in the county you live in will have this info...Are you in TX?

Does the home have a loan on it..if so the lender will have this info....

Shawn, if you have the number off the red certification label on the outside of the home, call HUD and they will have all the info you need. 202-708-6423.

If not look at the front cross member of the chassis, the home serial number is stamped there.

If your lucky you may have a data plate in the home which tells you everything.
