Performa max flooring?

Post by ScottMan » Tue Apr 12, 2005 6:26 am

I noticed on my old purchase list from my 2002 Skyline, an option I got called "Performa max flooring". I fully understood all the options I got except this one. I remember asking about it but our dealer didn't know much about it. (Light bulb - dealer didn't know her business. Obviously I wasn't reading this forum at that time) She then told me that it was an upgraded floor (I think it was $400) that was stronger than the standard. Then I notice one flyer I got was for Novadeck, which I read about here alot, and that it IS standard. So what was better about the floor I got? Any information on the "Performa" flooring?

I heard some mention of Luan (sp?) inside the inner walls. What is this?

What is the diff between drywalled and tape-and-textured?

Seems that ever since Compact Computers spent millions on this brand name..many companies have started to use the term in referring to some of its porduct...Maytag has a "Performa" appliance line..Koler has a "Performa" line of bath tubs..the list goes on and on..When associated with floors "Performa" seems to refer to foam cushioned backing on a traditional floor surface such as hardwood floor...carpet..vinal floor...In you home it probably is an upgraded vinyl that has a foam back cushion.....None of this does much for the NovoDeck....

Tape and texture is drywall that the seams have been taped and the surface has a texture finish. The reason for the texture is it hides some defects and takes less time and skill than a smooth drywall surface.
