Data plate and home plans should be adequate proof, as long as the house actually is a modular. If the appraiser appraised it as such after seeing them it sounds like you had enough proof for him or her. I'm sure that your appraiser is more familiar with the information on the plans and data plate than the realtor. If you realtor is looking for the words this is a modular, You're not going to find them. It is a matter of wether the data plate shows the approval of your state or HUD.

How can I find out who manufactured this home? The serial # is NTA 405790 and NTA405791. I know it was built around 1994. The data plate cannot be located. Is there a place to enter serial numbers to get info that is listed on the data plate? I have checked with the county and they have no info. Please help if you can.

These are actually the hud tag #s rather than the serial #s.
NTA is the third party inspector. Their phone number is (574) 773-7975.
They should be able to tell you the manufacturer and the serial number.
