FLOORING
WHEN MY CARPET WENT BAD IN BATHROOM I PULLED IT UP AND TRIED TO INSTALL SELF STICK VINYL SQUARES AND NOTHING I DID WOULD MAKE THIS STICK TO THE FLOOR INCLUDING VINYL PASTE. THE WOOD HAS A GREEN COATING OF SOEM SORT ON IT AND WILL NOT LET ANYTHING STICK TO IT SO I HAD TO REINSTALL CARPET. hOWEVER, i STILL WANT T VINYL FLOOR IN BATHROOM, CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME TO TELL ME HOW I CAN GET VINYL TO STICK TO THIS FLOOR.
Re: FLOORING
The green stuff is a water proofing stuff...Very important in the bath...
Those little stick on squares are temporary at best...they have problems staying down over time...
You can get vinyl flooring that does not require any glue in large sheets..Check with any Lowe's or Home Depot....They have many self help books for the do-it-yourself folks..

Re: FLOORING
You need to prepare a floor in order to *properly* install self adhesive flooring.
The floor needs to be cleaned and then sealed with an appropriate sealer. Done in this manner, the tiles installed correctly and at the right tempurature, and then seated. Done this way, they will pull up the sub floor before they themselves come up.
