wind zones

i have property in Georgia....which requires Wind Zone #1.......should i spend the extra money and get Wind Zone #2......please advise..

Depends on what standards you are getting...If you are getting one of the best...2x6 side walls, 2x4 interior, 2x8 floor joists all plus the roof rafters on 16 inch centers....No need to spend any more..The difference is then only the anchor system...
If you are in a very basic home..it might be worth some upgrades that might take you top wind zone 2....

I have manfactured home rated wind zone 1, built in 1996. The data plate says not to locate within 1500' of coast. Texas codes say if built after 1 Sep 97 not to locate in zone II. I need to move too near Corpus Christi, which is zone II. Do I go with the 1500 feet or do I need to locate in Jum Wells county, the nearest zone I?

Did you find out what the wind zone of your mobile home is. We are trying to locate this info. for our mobile home also and cannot find the data plate.
Please help if you have information.
