fiberboard siding

I am in escrow on a 1980 double wide mobile home in Northern California. It has fiberboard siding. I am aware of the class action lawsuits in some parts of the
country regarding them and I'd like to know your opinion about their durability. Also, links and websites would be appreciated. How do the compare to t1 11 siding? Do you recomend considering or staying away from this material in siding? Thanks. Melissa
