upscale options in California?

I have searched the web and found only a very few large upscale modular or manufacuted homes available in CA? How I define an upscale home is, one that does not look like a motor home, should be 3000-5000 square feet, lots of windows, has a nice curb appeal more of an estate or look of a large custom home look to it. I want to see if it there are options for a large upscale home using a manufactured or modular type of design that would save me money in CA. In CA the labor costs are so high that your dollar does not go that far.

I found one that had a circular center that could have wings off of it so that it could be 3500-5000 s/f but did not book mark it and now can not find it again? I also found some that were by Douglas Cutler but am not sure that they are available in CA?

Does anyone have suggestions?

i think you might be thinking of "topsider" they have the pedestal homes with all windows
