Hi. I purchaced my home by owner finacing one year ago. The lady we did paperwork with has never given us any paperwork. We have asked her repedetly. During the past few months, there has been financial trouble in my home. I am currently 4 payments behind.
The lady gave me until the end of the month, which would be today! to catch up. I gave her a payment of 300. towards the begining of the month. Then she called me and said I needed to move out.
I need to know what she has to do to kick me out. I don't want to loose my house and I don't know my options since she has never given me my lease. I also learned that she has never given a lease to my neighbors who have lived there for 2 years.
I do have reciepts of when I pay her.
Would you please help me or reffer me to someone who might be able to? A.S.A.P. PLEASE.

If you are truely financing the home with her, then she needs to file foreclosure papers with the court.. The whole process takes about 60 days from filing date until you are evicted.

You don't say how much your payments are, but lets assume since you gave her $300, that they are $300.. that means you are still 3 payments behind, with the next one (September) presumably coming due. I'd say she has been very lenient.. most lenders don't wait 4 payments to start foreclosure.

You need to talk to a local legal aid attorney..they work very cheap of free and can explian your options and the law in your state...Laws are different in each state..so we can be of little help..
