French Doors for a modular

Post by Kim » Mon Jul 05, 2004 3:02 pm

I have a modular home that was built in 1978. We would like to replace the sliding glass door with a French door. The problem is that the door is shorter than standard. Where can I get a French door that is 71 1/2" W x 74" H? We have priced this at Lowes for $1, 000 for customization. Is there a less expensive route to go with this?

Most Lowes stores offer parts for manufactured homes. If yours does they probably can order you a door from Creation or Philips. This would not be a stock item, but it would be a standard size for these companies and should cost much less than a custom door. If they don't sell manufactured home doors at your local Lowes, then look in the yellow pages for manufactured home parts or service in your area. Anyone who sells manufactured home parts will be able to order this door for you.
