clayton and finance question

Post by tiffani » Wed Mar 03, 2004 9:54 am

my and my husband own an acre in tyler, tx.

we want a simple single-wide.

clayton offered us no money down.

they are trying to get us in the freedom model with all fees and delivery for 32885.

this is virgin land, so I figure well and septic for another 10 which they are willing to write in the loan.

we are in dallas, so we don't have the time to go to tyler before we move.

my question is

how long is the standard mortgage for manu home?

are we getting screwed as far as the numbers go?

husband b+ credit;
me c+ credit;

we are trying to keep the payments down under 300 or at the most 400.

I am transferring my job and my husband is joining extended family business of produce.

so any honest answers will be appreciated.

tiffani, it you want a basic home a single wide can be had for less than 32,000 for sure. it will more than likly be financed thru vanderbilt. which is owned by clayton. do some comparision shopping so you have some more knowledge of prices.
