discolored caulk

The staple and nails in my drywall (vinyl coated) were "hidden" using a latex caulk. After 7 years they have turned brown from dirt and smoke. Any suggestions on how to re-whiten them or cover over them so they aren't so obvious.

Also, you could just paint the walls (probably have to prime them first).

Thanks. Had visions of taping and mudding and painting, but since I'm putting my home on the market I reckon I'll work on the easy (cheap) way and experiment with the nail polish.
