Copper Plumbing

Is it important to opt for the copper plumbing in MH these days? Silvercrest standard is called Tufplex (I believe) and I was wondering if I really needed to spend the extra for copper...any thoughts? Thanks!

About the only place any home, stick built or MF uses cooper any more is the stub outs to the showers and tubs Sometimes it is useds to stub out the toilets and sinks but not to often anymore.Pretty more the norm is PVC, CPVC and Pex.CPVC uses the same dimensions as copper and Pex is used where you need flexablity.Unless you really want copper I would not pay the extra for it;however I don't know what TufPlex is.The MH biz is famous for coming up with copy cat versions of standard building products, there usually not as good though.Find out what they plumb the house with, look it up on the web and see if it has a favorable review before opting for it.
