Hi, my wife and I are getting a divorce. We have a mortgage on an in park doublewide ('92 Magnolia 3 bdrm 2 bth). Is there anyway to simply get out of this trailer. it's in ok shape, wear and tear 'ya know. I would like to get rid of it for simply the money I owe, no profit, I \ We just want out from under this thing, any advice? Is there a network of real estate investors who would like a fixer upper with some potential? thanks for your time!!

We need to know what you owe on the home. You say you need only the payoff. That may be a heck of a lot more then the home is worth. Right now it is a buyers market. Good luck.

I've been reading on this site for last couple of hours, I'm looking for the same thing--a way out--period. I made the mistake of purchasing a MH after my husband left me. It was supposed to be a "transitional" thing. I thought I had it sold and purchased a beautiful, solid, awesome house. I finish moving into my new house this weekend. But.....the sale of the MH didn't happen. The buyer's financing fell through. I was mislead that he had financing, so I have a purchase agreement--but no sale.
Actually my home is beautiful as far as MH's go. It's a 1995 16 X 70 Skyline Springbrook. It's a beautiful home in immaculate condition. Valuted 9 ft. ceilings, thermal windows, security wrought iron, upgraded plumbing in the kitchen and baths, appliances stay etc. The apprasial was $30,166, I only want to walk away--I have a pay off of right at 22,000., and can't move it. Everyone looks, ohs' and awes', they love it, no one is getting finances. Does anyone have any ideas?
Obviously it's a problem that it's set in a park. Though the lot has been professionally landscaped, chain-linked, 10X10 custom shed (2x4 construction, pitched shingled roof, 9 ft at the peak), decks front and back etc. I was going to pull it to a consignment lot the end of Aug, but have been advised that might not be best, with pull fees of 1750+ on both ends and commissions.
I've tried the newspaper, one web-page, flyers everywhere (work, landromats, college campus), electronic bulletin board at work etc. Any new ideas????
