Is is still OK to order a Schult Home? Heard of recent financial problems with the Schult Company. Is it possible they will not complete an order or use inferior materials?

Schult is part of the Oakwood family of brands...Oakwood Homes and all of its companies are in chapter 11 bankruptcy...The court hearing is scheduled for later this month..There may be a trial that lasts a few days and the court will rule on the new plan..
basically...once the court makes its final ruling..Oakwood (and all of its companies) will be no more...There will be a all new Oakwood and its companies...This means..the new Oakwood will not be responsible for anything that the old Oakwood did...All current stockholder will lose all of their investment and there will be new stockholders..

That said...It might be prudent to hold your order until the final ruling..so that all of your dealings will be with the new company and they will be responsible for everything they say and do..

If you are wondering about current quality..arrange for a plant tour and see what they are doing with your own eyes..
