How to Sell a manufactured home
How to Sell a manufactured home
I reside in Flint, MI and I am going to sell my manufactured home in the next six months. My home currently is in a park. Is it possible to sell a manufactured home that is in a park and if so how? Will dealers buy used manufactured homes? Will I do better moving my home to private land and then try to sell it? Soemeone please help me with this decision. Thanks
Re: How to Sell a manufactured home
It is very possible to sell in a park....Remember this is a home and can take months to sell at the highest market value...
Yes dealer will buy in parks...but they will pay very low price..they want to resell at a profit and will be conservative right now...
Check around the park for others that might be for sale...Check the asking prices...If there are score of home for sale in the park..you might have a porblem..but if there are only a few available you should have no problem...The trick is to make your home as nice or nicer than the rest...make it so folks would rather have yours than any of the others...you do this with making sure the condition is perfect and the price attractive in comparison to the rest in the park..
Talk to the park manager..sometimes they can be a big help...sometimes not..
Advertise...shopper type of papers seem to work the best..Post notices at public bulliten boards at grocery stores, laundry mats..any where you can find them...Military housing offices are particularly good for this..as well as local colleges...
Start to sell it now...If you must move in 6 months..it might take that long..if it sell sooner..you will just have to find temporary housing for a few months...Go for it..
