A solid investment - especially as prices of comparable homes are rising.

It sounds like a good opportunity despite the high asking price. Definitely get a thorough inspection, especially focusing on the plumbing, electrical systems, and structural integrity. The updated HVAC, roof, and windows are positives. Consider negotiating based on the inspection results and comparable sales in the area.

sir should negotiate the price based on the inspection results and compare it to current market values for similar homes.

In Florida, the home needs to meet HUD hurricane anchoring requirements (especially important for insurance and safety).

From what you shared, it sounds like the home has been well maintained over the years. The updates like HVAC, roof, and windows are a big plus. The price is a bit high for the age, but given today’s market, it could still make sense—especially if you really like the community. Definitely a good idea to get a full inspection, including plumbing and under-floor condition, before committing
