Anyone have a Skyline Fariview Series home? My friend is thinking of purchasing one, Model 480CTF, 76' X 16 ft. The one problem she's encountered so far is the quote. One salesperson quoted $2,000 more than the next (at the same office). She's asked about the options and both matched (stronger roof, ect.). Anyway I'm wondering HOW GOOD IS THIS MODEL/BRAND and HOW DOES SHE MAKE SURE SHE'S NOT PAYING MORE THAN SHE SHOULD?? I had a building experience where the contractors took advantage, big time!! Trying to help avoid another individual from getting ripped off.

Yes, Richard did see this. Hopefully the folks read further down the forum list. I do not concern myself with what Skyline thinks about the truth. I'm going to have a great day inspite of whatever.

Okay, now I've got to jump back in. I know Richard has ranted on this site many times, but, folks, think about it. If we'd spent money on a new house and had all the problems he's had and could get no satisfaction from the dealer or the manufacturer, I think we'd all be as frustrated and angry as he is. I must say, though, that I think Richard just got a lemon. I still believe that Skyline is an excellent line and wish I could afford one. I hope you get your house fixed to your satisfaction, Richard.

Thanks, folks. I've hoped for the repairs, but have no faith in them anymore. When a company turns to telling lies to the customer, then one does loose the faith. I truly wonder if the CEO, Tom Deranek really knows what is going on with the Ephrata, Pa. plant? Anyway! There is a sign on the yard 'for sale' and it will not happen soon enough. For those folks looking at buying a MH, PLEASE listen to David when he tells you to get PLYWOOD sub-flooring AND floor joists on 16" center. If you are looking at Skyline, they DO NOT HAVE plywood listed in any of their brochures.

We purchased our Skyline DW last August and have been very pleased with it. It came standard with plywood flooring. It came out of the San Jucinto, Ca. plant. All of the homes from this plant have plywood flooring. Only way to go.
