Reputable Manufacturers
Reputable Manufacturers
Be sure you check ALL of the construction and building techniques before you buy your MH. Randy's book is a great place to start. Stay with Above average or Quality Builders. His book was not there in 2000. I ended up with a horrifiing Skyline Corp. MH. The house is falling apart and their service has been non-existant. Skyline will not take my cxalls nor will they return my calls. My personal experience has been a total nightmare.Any Questions? e-mail: [email protected]

There are some manufactures that I would never stand up for, but Skyline has a very good reputation for customer service. I'm surprised that you were not able to get what you expected from them. We have seen Skyline send a shirt and tie manager from their plant on a hundred mile trip just to bring a fridge to a new home owner.
We were contracted to run service calls for most of the major builders in Florida at one time or another and always found the treatment that Skyline offered its homeowners top notch.
Over 80% of the problems we were called out on for ALL BRANDS resulted from settlement or sub-standard installation of the manufactured home. Even the best built home in the world if not set up correctly or alowed to settle so it is out of level or out of square will continue to exhibit all types of problems and even deteriorate until the original installation problem is resolved.
You say that "the house is falling apart". That is not telling us much. If you will tell us exactly what are the problems you are/have experienced perhaps I or one of our regulars with service experience can asset you in determining the root cause and best method(s) of correction.
