HR3849

Post by RCG » Sun Mar 04, 2012 6:05 pm

Homeowners should seriously consider writing their congressman (woman) and asking them to support the passage of HR 3849. If this bill does not become law, there will be no one financing manufactured homes with loan amounts under $50,000.00 and a very few that will make loans under $78,000.00.

For those that own manufactured homes this will mean there will be no one to finance your home when you are ready to sell which will cause a drastic slide in the value of your home.

This is because the Dodd-Frank Act placed conditions on lenders that they cannot meet on loans of these dollar amounts without losing money. No lender is going to make a loan if they know they are going to lose money on it.

It will take a grass roots campaign with letters coming not only from those who make their living as part of the manufactured housing industry, but also from homeowners who will also be affected if this portion of the law is allowed to go into effect.

Please consider taking the time to write your Representative and asking other manufactured homeowners to do the same.
