Siding replacement and HUD data plate.

A piece of my siding was damaged in a storm and needed to be replaced. The piece that needed replacement had my HUD data plate attached. Knowing from these forums how important that data plate can be I had my repairman cut a small piece of the siding with the data plate still attached and give it to me. I put under the sink where the "stuff from the manufacturer" is glued to the cabinet door. I know that data plate could be important if either we or our heirs ever sell the house. In short, if you are having your siding repaired or replaced make sure you keep the HUD data plate in a safe place.
